MOMOKAMEI/ Yoko Kakuchi
MOMOKAMEI was launched by the jewelry designer Yoko Kakuchi in 2014.
As a mother of twin daughters, she uses both 3D technologies and time-honored jewelry techniques
to give birth to unique items, inspired by her daily life with her daughters, Momoka and Mei.
Based on the brand’s philosophy of “Play With Form”, the designer focuses on transforming things
that we take for granted into contemporary art pieces. Her works reflect our age and affections toward everyday life.
Her first collection was showcased at the fashion exhibition PLUG-IN in October 2015,
and picked out by “SENKEN”, the Japanese major fashion newspaper, as one of the up-and-coming brands.
She is currently living in Tokyo with her family and has been working on the new collection.
